Hiring the perfect Chicago wedding photographer is, without doubt, one of the first and foremost things on your TO DO list for the Big Day. Yet, making the actual decision may be a lot more difficult than it sounds.

In one of our previous blogs we shared tips on how to narrow down the list of options, we would now like to share with you the crucial questions you may want to ask your photographer before hiring them. 

• What is included in their packages? You need to know where your money goes and what you will get for it, so this is a really important question. Chances are the answer will also be written on the contract, but don’t be afraid to ask any further questions if you have them – it’s really, really essential that you get things cleared up before you sign on the dotted line!
  
• Will they retouch the photos? If so, how many of them? Most photographers don’t retouch all of the wedding photos – so you should ask them about this. Also, ask them if you can see the “before” pictures as well.
  
• Do they have a backup solution? Illness can happen to anyone. Unfortunate situations can appear. But your photographer should make sure they have a plan B in case that happens – after all, you don’t want to spend your wedding day without a professional photographer to capture all the beauty, grace and sensitivity of this special event, do you?
